6-21-09: The two day Rose Cup race at PIR on the 12th and 13th was a big hit, 32 cars turned out across the 4 classes and made for a great show. Full report to follow soon in the results section. Out next race will be July 18th at Woodburn Dragstrip See you there!

5-21-09: The Heads-Up Northwest Dyno day is back from the dead!! It will be happening on June 6th, the Saturday before our next race as a warmup for the big 2-day race at PIR on the 12th and 13th. We will be out at the first Beaches cruise in of the year June 3rd at PIR passing out fliers and signing people up so if you want to be sure you're on the list or need a specific time of day to be able to make it show up to the cruise and sign in. We will be putting a HARD cap at 50 cars, and may not even get that many in due to time constraints, and it will be first come first served starting on the 3rd at PIR....

5-13-09: FINALLY!! May 9th we were able to get our first race of 2009 in the bag, the weather was perfect, the track was green and the turnout was pretty good considering that it was a reschedule and several racers who were there in the rain the previous weekend were unable to attend. 5-3-09: For the 2nd time in a row we got rained out. This time at Woodburn. We were however able to reschedule it for next weekend, May 9th, still at Woodburn. Hope to see you all there!!!

4-21-09: In an effort to make our group more effective and professional Heads-Up NW has implemented a Board of Directors. We had our first meeting last night and discussed business structure and direction for the remainder of 2009 and preperation for the 2010 season. Members at this time are: Eric Eddy, Terry Ryan, Tim Robards, Brian Robards, Nate Webster, Eric Reich, Vulcan Mclellen, Jeff Hyrciw and Walter Grosse. We will be meeting once a month, if you have any issues or ideas that you would like brought up at the next meeting let one of us know.

4-16-09: If you have a car and would like to run in a specific class but don't fit the written rules please contact either Terry Ryan or Eric Eddy for clarification, some flexibility will be possible as long as there is no distinct advantage over other racers who do comply with the written rules.  Our goal here is Parity, not exclusivity.

4-12-09: PIR called the race last night due to a combination of rain and issues with the tree, no word on if there will be a makeup race or not. The next race will be May 2nd at Woodburn, gates open at 8:00.

4-06-09: Due to a scheduling conflict at PIR the March race has been scrapped and will be moved to the end of the season, some time in October. Tenative dates are for October 10th or 16th and the final announcement will be made as soon as possible. Sorry for the short notice.

1-20-09: Eric Hampton's Express Care in Orchards has commited to sponsor our Outlaw class for this year. They are a full service maintinance facility with ASE certified techs. Check out their website for specific services and specials.

1-19-09: C & C Hair And Nail Company in LaCenter is going to be providing a gift certificate good for 2 haircuts to all runner-up winners in all 4 classes this year, they can be reached at (360) 263-3527 and offer would be glad to help you with any and all of your fashion needs.

1-15-09: Rrev Motorsports in Jansen Beach will be sponsoring our 2nd annual Dyno Day Fundraiser, The final date is still to be determined and will be posted here as well as in the Forums when it is finalized. Testing will be $50/car for a standard 3-pull baseline and space will be limited so be sure to get there early. Lunch will be available for purchase as well, hope to see you there.

1-13-09:  Tom's Performance Machine in Vancouver Washington has elected to sponsor our True Street class for the 2009 season, They will be providing the purse for the winniner as well as a gift certificate for 1hr of dyno time to the runner up.

1-5-09: We will be adding a 10.50 Index class this season at all of our full day races. This is something that people have been requesting for a long time so we figured we'd give it a go. Rules should be posted shortly but will likely mimic the rules at the PSCA and NPSA for their similar classes.

12-08-08:  The time and place for the end of season meeting has been decided, we will be at Wall Street Pizza in Gresham from 7pm to 10pm on Saturday January 3rd. We will be talking about potential rule changes, 2009 race dates, fund raising activities and some good bench racing. We hope to see everyone there.

10-18-08: The last race of the year kicked off with great weather.

10-07-08: The new website is starting to come together and we now have a new forum layout. More website updates to come.

06-24-08:  I think I've figured out a way to update the main site, It's not as nice and easy as before but it'll work.

03-16-08:  The Heads-Up NW dyno day fundraiser was quite a success, we had almost 30 cars show up and raised almost enough money to cover the payouts and trophies for the season.  Big thanks to Brian Sells from Redline Race Cars in Longview WA who stopped by to put in a nice donation, Tim and the guys at Rrev Motosports for putting on the dyno day, and all the others who helped out with putting on the event.

02-04-08:  The official 2008 schedule is finally ready:

October 18th at PIR

All races are on Saturdays this year, except for the July race, PIR races will start at 6pm and Woodburn races will start at 8am.

12-10-07:  We're working on the new schedule and final rules changes for the '08 season currently.  The big change for now is that the PIR races will be on saturday evenings starting at 6pm instead of the 5pm start friday nights that we had in previous years.  This should allow more racers to come play w/o work and family conflicts.

09-23-07:  The time and place for the end of season meeting has been decided, we will be at Wall Street Pizza in Gresham from 7pm to 10pm on Saturday October 20th, hope to see everyone there.

6-10-07:  Little late on the updates, but our next race is coming up on SATURDAY the 16TH at WOODBURN, not PIR and not Friday.  Hope to see you all there.

4-26-07:  Minor site changes. The site has moved to a new server due to recent service outages. The new server is fully monitored and maintained.

3-17-07:  Three Weeks and counting, first race for 2007 will be on April 6th at PIR, gates open at 5pm as always.  Hope to see everyone there!
