I would like to have some ideas of what happened in these 4 runs? We were getting quicker with each run including Run #3 wich is our best run to date then in the first round we ran 2 tenths slow?

Heat soaked? How much time between runs? Looks like the power was down the whole run.

My son was driving and he said it was hotter then normal.  I was thinking maybe he didnt launch at the right rpm? i just cant fiqure out why it would run 2tenths slower out of the blue.

try to make sure the engine temp is the same at the front of the line. even if you need to push the car thru the line. engine temp cam take .20 easy in a sbc. hot in the oil and cold in the heads and manifold.

We will concentrate on engine temp a little more and see if thats the problem. I'm running the carb a little fat right now too.
